Job Description
- Leverage social media APIs and develop custom programs to extract data from platforms, including those without accessible APIs, while adhering to ethical scraping practices and platform terms of service.
- Clean, transform, and analyze social media data using advanced data analysis tools and techniques.
- Perform sentiment analysis to gauge customer perception and brand sentiment.
- Identify emerging trends and key topics within social media discussions.
- Create and maintain social listening dashboards and reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Stay current with the latest trends and developments in social media platforms.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage and processing.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.
Skills Required
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in data analysis tools like Power BI or Tableau, with strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience with SQL or other open-source databases for data querying and manipulation.
- Programming proficiency in Python or Java, with experience in API integration and ethical web scraping.
- Understanding of social media platforms, social listening tools, and sentiment analysis techniques (a plus).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
