The client, a government statistics center, publishes over 100 surveys annually. The manual data collection and integration processes led to inefficiencies and delays in tracking survey results and generating reports.

Project Objective

  • Automate survey scripting and deployment across multiple data collection modes.
  • Automate report generation and dissemination processes.

Approach & Solution

  • Automation Implementation: Utilized the IBM SPSS suite (SPSS Data Collection, SPSS Survey Reporter, SPSS Statistics) to automate the survey process.
  • Multi-Mode Data Collection: Employed CATI, CAPI, CAWI, and iPad modes for comprehensive data collection.
  • Centralized Data Management: Integrated all data into a central SPSS server, with reporting managed by SPSS Survey Reporter.
  • Statistical Analysis: Conducted statistical analysis using SPSS Statistics, with data exported to other BI packages as needed.

Project Outcome

  • Automated the entire survey process, reducing the time from 9 months to 5 months, covering survey creation, deployment, analysis, and reporting.
  • Improved data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
  • Awarded a second phase to enhance the reporting solution with Statistical Predictive Analytics using SPSS Statistics and Modeler.
